Outsourcing: It’s as American as Curry Pie

Each year for the past 30 years, Parade magazine has devoted most of an issue to what people earn. I’m always surprised to see how people are willing to tell the whole world how much they make, just to get their face on the cover of a national magazine. I think Miss Manners would agree with me that discussing how much money you make is rude and boorish, and to publish that information is even worse. After all, if you don’t make very much money, it could be embarrassing. And if you make a lot, well “¦ that could be embarrassing, too. Take Mitt Romney, who reportedly makes $50,000 a day.
