A Gonzales man with more fervor for LSU football than brains has called for a boycott of Raising Cane’s restaurants ahead of the Tigers’ season opener against the Hurricanes from the University of Miami, FL.
Noted moron Joseph Ribaud posted online that Tiger fans should abstain from patronizing all locations of the chicken finger eatery commonly known as “Cane’s” to show support for LSU, who faces the team sometimes referred to as the “Canes” on September 2.
Raising Cane’s made LSU head coach Ed Orgeron the company’s official spokesman last year.
“Tiger fans should boycott Cane’s to support LSU against Miami,” Ribaud earnestly shared with his 86 Facebook friends, three of whom are Raising Cane’s employees.
In addition to being founded in 1996 by LSU graduate Todd Graves, who opened the chain’s first location near the North Gates of the state’s flagship university, Raising Cane’s made LSU head coach Ed Orgeron the company’s official spokesman last year.
When several of Ribaud’s Facebook friends informed him that Raising Cane’s is not at all affiliated with the Miami Hurricanes, and in fact is a strong supporter of LSU athletics, he promptly called them traitors and unfriended them.
