COVINGTON — Abita Brewing Company has announced a new, limited-edition beer offering to be available statewide this fall.
From their press release:
It’s been a long, hot year, but don’t worry, Abita will keep you cool with the true taste of New Orleans: our all-new French Quarter Trashbag Juice Saison.
We’ve always been at the cutting edge of microbrewing, from our discontinued Jockamo IPA — with the real flavor of the inside of a Mardi Gras Indian costume after parade season — to Louisiana Spiced Ale, the crawfish boil beer absolutely nobody clamored for.
French Quarter Trashbag Juice Saison will make sure you know what it means to piss New Orleans.
Now, we’re bringing authentic Bourbon Street flavor to unlucky taprooms across the state with French Quarter Trashbag Juice Saison!
This new farmhouse-style ale is small batch brewed with a hint of leftover Pat O’Brien’s signature hurricanes and hand grenades, dry-hopped with crumpled Gray Line ghost tour maps, and finally aged for three weeks in a real Bourbon Street gutter salvaged during recent street repairs. Serve it at room temperature for a memorable mouthful of fais do-do!
With a rich, stinging complexity that Beeradvocate.com described as “oh God no no no please no,” French Quarter Trashbag Juice Saison will make sure you know what it means to piss New Orleans.
