After weeks of speculation and several reports indicating he would be fired after LSU’s season finale against Texas A&M, Les Miles will retain his job as head coach of the Tigers football team. Following the Tigers’ 19-7 win over the Aggies on Saturday night in Tiger Stadium, LSU Athletic Director Joe Alleva, who had been conspicuously quiet as rumors about Miles’ future ran wild, finally broke his silence by telling the media “Les Miles is our football coach and he will continue to be our football coach” and adding “I’m very pleased that Coach Miles is our coach.”
