Rapper Kanye West used the VMA Awards on MTV last night to announce that he is running for president of the United States. An emotional West concluded his sprawling, 12-minute acceptance speech for the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award by saying, “And yes, as you probably could have guessed by this moment, I am running for president in 2020.”
