Round 2 continues with a pair of matchups featuring a couple of hotties with experience in the music industry and a couple of Hall of Famers underappreciated by fans younger than 60. (For Day 9’s results, click here.)
FOXES: Bobbie Brown (12) vs. Pauley Perrette (4)
Twelfth-seeded Baton Rouge native Bobbie Brown made it out of the opening round by upsetting No. 5 seed Susan Ward with over 55% of the vote, while No. 4 seed Pauley Perrette took care of business and defeated 13th-seeded Faye Emerson. Both Brown and Perrette have had their share of experience with the music industry. Brown is known as the chick from Warrant’s “Cherry Pie” video and the ex-wife of Warrant lead singer Jani Lane. And while Perrette is most famous for being the tatted forensic scientist on NCIS, she was also the lead singer of the punk band Lo-Ball.
Each is in his respective sport’s Hall of Fame and woefully underappreciated by sports fans under the age of 60.
JOCKS(es): Bob Pettit (5) vs. Mel Ott (4)
No. 5 seed and LSU basketball legend Bob Pettit got to Round 2 by defeating 12th-seeded Marshall Faulk with nearly two-thirds of the vote. Fourth-seeded MLB legend Mel Ott had a slightly tighter victory over No. 13 seed Vida Blue. Each is in his respective sport’s Hall of Fame and woefully underappreciated by sports fans under the age of 60. Today, you get to decide who will move on to the quarterfinals: the power forward or the power hitter.
Ready. Set. VOTE! (Polls close nightly at 10 p.m. CDT.)
