A Guide to Removing the Deceased From Your Facebook Friends

When Facebook friends pass away, their profiles are often filled with tributes and memorials in the days and weeks following their deaths. After those initial mourning periods, however, you may not want to continue having them in your friends list for various reasons.

STEP 1: Navigate to the deceased friend’s Facebook profile

STEP 2: Hover over the “Friends” tab at the top and select “Unfriend.”
