MARCH MADNESS: Crooked vs. Cooked – THE SILVER ZIPPER WINS AGAIN!

Congratulations to our Crooked vs. Cooked Champion Edwin Washington Edwards! The former four-term governor and current congressional candidate/convicted felon managed to win yet another election by garnering more votes than fellow South Louisiana native boiled crawfish.

Much like another tournament champion that was crowned last night – the Connecticut men’s basketball team – Edwards pretty much led his formidable opponent wire-to-wire. The 86-year-old Democrat ultimately finished with 70.5% of the vote, which we can only assume means that most of you either prefer having Edwin Edwards represent our state rather than boiled crawfish, or that the former is more corrupt than the latter is tasty.

In any case, we thank all of you who participated over the past three weeks in our second annual March Madness tournament. We’ve already got plans for another Louisiana-themed tourney for 2015.

FYI: If you still have no idea what the hell we’re talking about, here’s an explanation. And yes, you can still find all the March Madness results/other March Madness posts by using our handy “MARCH MADNESS: Crooked vs. Cooked” tag.RedShtick-Top-ColumnStop
