Three prominent candidates have officially announced their candidacies for next year’s gubernatorial election: Lt. Gov. Jay Dardenne and U.S. Sen. David Vitter, both Republicans, and Democratic state Rep. John Bel Edwards.

Poll closes at 10 p.m. CDT Friday.
