When it comes to laws and policies that support the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community, the capital city is among the worst 10 cities in the nation according to this year’s Municipality Equality Index released last month by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. Out of a possible 100 points, Baton Rouge received a score of seven, which was five points higher than last year’s score of two.
