Nate is hung over on vodka this week, and the guys begin by discussing which drinks have different effects on them, after which Adam shares an awkward moment with a gay guy he met over the weekend. Nate then gives all the details of his recent service as foreman of a federal jury.
Adam opens “La Boîte aux Letters” and reads a letter about demonyms from Sarah in Brooklyn’s Gowanus neighborhood; Nate is a Hollywegian, and Adam is a Greenwegian. The guys share their experiences with being misunderstood on the west and east coasts when using the term coonass. For “The Probe,” the guys welcome New York comedian and filmmaker Dan Goodman, a Philadelphia native, to discuss the recent controversy surrounding the name change of Chink’s Steaks, a classic Philadelphia restaurant.
Everybody then steps into “JD’s Office,” where Nate tries to sell a reluctant Adam on Game of Thrones. Nate also tells the sad tale of his friends who refused to go to a black neighborhood with him to watch Evil Dead. Adam talks about seeing Oz the Great and Powerful before Dan tells of some of his film projects, which include Skinja, Klan Dunk, and The Sweaty Detective.
In “Balls,” Adam laments the sparse attendance of the season-opening Yankees/Red Sox series. They follow with a quick discussion of Louisville guard Kevin Ware’s broken tibia and some Wrestlemania XXIX talk. They finish with some in-depth analysis of the firing of Rutgers men’s basketball faggot Mike Rice.
