LIVE BLOG: The 70th Golden Globe Awards

TineFey-AmyPohler-GoldenGlobesSunday night, Hollywood’s elite will gather at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills to honor the best in film and television of 2012 while getting sloppy-ass drunk.

Tina Fey and Amy Pohler will co-host the show, marking the first time since 2009 that the ceremony hasn’t been hosted by Ricky Gervais. Whew!

While the beer-swilling bearded Brit won’t be there to provide cringe-worthy “jokes,” we’ll be there to provide lots of snark and snideness to make up for any drop off in tastelessness created by Gervais’ absence. (Amy and Tina really are two classy bitches.) And unlike Gervais, we aim to be at least marginally entertaining in our crudeness.

The Golden Globes will be broadcast Sunday, January 13 at 7 p.m. CDT on NBC. They say it’ll be “live,” but we’re not sure if producers will keep the 7-second delay they instituted specifically for Gervais.

If you’re feeling catty and chatty, feel free to join the fray with your comments. (You must be a registered site user to do so, or course.) Or, you can just sit back and enjoy our commentary on the annual broadcast train wreck. Either way, scroll down for the festivities.RedShtick-Top-ColumnStop
