Officers with the Baton Rouge Police Department, the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the Louisiana State Police have arrested nearly 200 people who had taken to streets to protest last week’s killing of Alton Sterling by BRPD. Many of the detained protesters were booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on the charge of obstructing a roadway.
